Coffee in Spain is more then a drink taken in the morning. It is a ritual which when done properly takes at least a hour while reading the paper and talking to friends that happen by.
At night, especially in Madrid it is escential to keep going. Take a caffee solo, which is actually jet fuel, and you are good untill atleast 4:00
