I have done something similar to this in a sandwich, but this I am going to try out on 'he who should be obeyed' in the near future. He introduced me to cheese with fruit cake and Yorkshire puds with jam, so I am sure he will like this.

It's still my favourite sandwich (I looked it up for the "how do you like your eggs in the morning" thread in ask) and noticed there were a whole load of convos I'd not seen.

No, it made me smile. Strange things do hurt but not that. Can you direct me to what you said about the Omelette sandwich. I clicked the link at the top of the page but the thread ended very quickly.

How are you keeping? I'm afraid I've been very busy in RL and neglecting my internet friends

Thanks. I am fine but very tired. Been working on the house before winter sets in. I feel very lucky because this time last year the weather was appalling, and I have good reason to remember it.

I am finding I quite enjoy being on my own, having spent my entire life ministering to others

I haven't been on h2g2 as much for that reason, and as for writing, I seem to have a writers block, but that maybe because my head is so full of other stuff which needs sorting first.

it must be a very strange feeling - not having your usual tasks that you have spent a lifetime doing. writer's block - ack, I have had that for so long now that I've just about stopped writing.

But I have other things to do, so it will come back eventually.

Have it now and will try that soon. Not good for my cholesterol but we need a treat now and again! I am out of cheese which is very unusual but I have everything else so I shall be trying it very soon, especially now the cold weather is here
