Prudential Arguments (Pascal's Wager)
Created | Updated Jan 9, 2009
Some claim that we should believe in God because lose nothing and might gain infinitely. This (a) does not give any evidence that God exists, and (b) ignores the fact that there is more than one religion to choose from. In fact, from Pascal's original formulation, it is clear that even a conscious effort to remain an atheist leads to infinite benefit.
