Parsimony
Created | Updated Oct 22, 2008
It is irrational to believe in something for which there is no evidence. This belief goes by many names - Occam's Razor, parsimony, logical positivism, the scientific method, Popperianism, etc. Belief in God in the absence of evidence is also satirised in many ways, e.g. by comparison to fairies, dead religions, the Flying Spaghetti Monster or invisible pink unicorns.
