I rather like Mechelen, where I have been on many occasions (usually flying into Brussel Zaventem). Here, too, the deep-seated resentment of the Flemish for the Francophones is palpable, and it's well worth learning the few pronounciation techniques which make your Dutch place-name pronounciation intelligible 
Oh, and never use the word "Anvers" to a Fleming from Antwerpen!
