* Strange thing this synchronicity threading through people's lives... I just got a phone call from a family friend - she's going to move back to Brussels for a while. She will be selling her flat there before returning to the Southern Hemisphere.

Hi Paul, could you bring me another one of those? Thanks.

And I must strongly object... for, even as we sit here, having this nice conversation, Zaventem has regained it's most abandoned forum status. Life is that way sometimes smiley - smiley

It's just that when you log in Noticeboard, that is who you become, as a User. You will remain that until you log out Noticeboard and register as yourself again...smiley - smiley

Hello, everyone!

We are all silently appreciating the beer, I see.

So Zen. Good idea.

Standing up ... one should never rush that sort of thing, I feel.

Yes, nice idea to keep the beer flowing - like the tao - like an online meditation.

Does trappist beer help people to meditate, though? Still have to meditate on that one.

One certainly achieves a state of silence and immobility after about three of them ... smiley - smiley

That would be an interesting way to achieve nirvana.

Better switch to soda-water now, though smiley - smiley

Wu Wei is an extraordinary state, of course.

I am remembering a lot of Belgium stories, though.

Peaceful, that is because of the soda water. if you stick to the beer, then you will remember nothing about Belgium smiley - smiley

Sorry - but too many stories. Little Wolfgang and little Helmuth going meeting their cousin Marialein in the thirties - a beach, in Belgium. Helmuth would be around six years old. Asked to leave the beach because he wasn't wearing a shirt. Not too long ago. Other people, in another century, another country.
