The year, as we know it changes over Cosmic time, as the Earth's orbit around the Sun changes over the millennia...
Also, the length of the day has been changing over the aeons as the speed of the Earth's rotation has been slowing down over time...
Also, due to a phenomenon known as the 'Precession of the Equinoxes', the Earthly seasons drift over time....
Of course, these changes take millennia to show themselves....
But in the future, they will rear thier ugly heads....
Christmas Dinner on Blackpool Beach, anyone???
