Perhaps not immediately relevant to this entry, but I can't find anywhere else to ask this. Am interested in information on the merchantman SS Ursus, which was voyaging from England to India in the 1890s, in particular about her size, displacement, cargos etc. Captain Phippen, her captain in the 1880s-90s, took his daughter Cherrie and her friend Ethel Mary Harding on a voyage to India & back from Nov. 12th 1890 to Feb. 25th 1891. Ethel kept a detailed diary, which I have just transcribed for her nephew, and we'd like some background information, if somebody can suggest how to get it. Thanks!
