Keeping eggs under control
Kes Started conversation Jul 21, 2000
English breakfast can be cooked on a barbecue - except that the fied eggs spread to a single-molecule layer all over the hotplate. To control the eggs, take a slice of bread (sliced loaves do have a use, after all) and cut a large circular (approx.) hole out of the middle. Place holey bread on barbecue hotplate, and break egg into hole. Result - the egg stays under control - and cooks better for being kept together. The bread can be used for any of:
- decoration,
- quaintly shaped fried bread,
- bird food,
- throwing at gate-crashers.
