I was recently reminded of Hans Christian Anderson's classic fairy tale of Thumbelina - the little girl no bigger than your thumb; so small she could sit atop a thimble. . . Topical this year, the bicentenary of the birth of HCA.

When you mentioned Thumbelina in the other thread, I thought you had meant for Fairies Entry. 
Another use for a thimble then.

Well, it was one of those things that could've gone into 'Fairy's' or 'Thimbles' - or both.
