A Conversation for The Simpsons - the TV Series

Brilliantly researched and organized! I'd just like to add a couple of minor things, in the interest of completeness.
1) As noted elsewhere in these posts, Principal Skinner's real name is Armand Tanzarian. Tanzarian served under the real Skinner in Vietnam. When Skinner was believed to be dead, Tanzarian took on the duty of breaking the news to Skinner's mother - but when he arrived at her house, an awkward moment resulted in Tanzarian assuming Skinner's identity and persuing his commanding officer's dream of becoming a school principal. The real Skinner was eventually released from a P.O.W. camp and returned to Springfield, prompting Tanzarian to come clean and skip town. When the actual Seymour Skinner turned out to be less than likable, he was tied to a chair on a train and run out of town, and Tanzarian was asked to reassume Skinner's life.
Great Quotes from this episode:
- As Tanzarian leaves town on a motorcycle, he passes Bart and some other students and shouts, "Up yours, children!"
- The third-person reference to "Armand Tanzarian's copy of Swank."
2) Duff-Man! I noticed the omission of the spokes-mascot of Homer's preferred beer, Duff. Duff-Man is clad in superhero-style tights and a beer-utility-belt, and usually utters his catch-phrase "Ohh Yeah!" He also spouts hilarious one-liners such as "Duff-Man is THRUSTING in the direction of the problem!" (Although the visual part of this joke is integral to its humour).
3) Judge Snider, who usually decides Bart's court cases with a ruling of "Boys Will Be Boys," and the female judge who replaced him during a vacation in one episode and appeared in another shortly thereafter (I've forgotten her name...sorry! Feel free to fill in for my momentary lapse of memory.)
I hope this adds to the outstanding informativeness of this entry. I think i may have gone into a bit too much detail...can't hurt though i suppose.
Key: Complain about this post
