In the Notes for Jean Harlow, there's a tiny typo.
'Harlow was the first platinum blonde and brought earthy sexuality to thee 1930s cinema. '
Of course, it should be 'the' instead of 'thee.' This one would have made it through a spellchecker, though.
This was an excellent entry, by the way. It was quite thorough.

Ah, but that makes it even better. You're not only thorough, but you also collaborate well. (And that's to both of you.)

There's another mistake in the entry for Garbo. Ninotchka, in the film of that name, was not a diplomat who was trying to sell some jewels. The jewels had been taken out of Russia after the Russian revolution. Ninotchka was trying to prevent their sale and get them back for communist Russia.

Thanks for this guys and gals. It's been years since I saw Ninotchka but it is Garbo at her best.

I believe the publicity for the film included the line, 'Garbo Laughs', because she did it so seldom in her films.

Garbo is my favourite acteress of her era. It seems that whatever she did attracted attention.
THere are several biographies but one that is well worth reading is Called Garbo and Cecil about her friendship with British designer Cecil Beaton.
Very touching
