Many of these remarks come from greater geological minds than mine.
I did notice the opportunity for one improvement, however.
In the discussion on famous rocks, Stonehenge was described as a 'massive stone circle' which may inadvertently give the impression of a massive circle made out of a single stone.
Perhaps 'massive circle of stones' would be more clear.
