...that someone "discusses" this entry. I don't understand why nobody else did so yet... I mean, it's about THE Charles M Schulz and his Peanuts! Not to mention, that it's a great entry...
I love the Peanuts. Only the Peanuts and the books of Douglas Adams are ALWAYS able to make me giggle in the bus or in other not-giggle-friendly places.
I just can't help it... When Marcy abuses the yet-again-sleeping Peppermint Petty in class... Or when Snoopy steals Linus' comfort blanket...Or when Linus is on the bicycle with his mother...Or when he is babbling about the Great Pumpkin...Or when Lucy yet again tries to seduce - Oh god, I forgot the name of the boy always playing the piano!
Anyway, it really is a great entry, Demon Drawer!

Schroeder is the piano player. Snoopy as the World War I flying ace under Pershing's command is my favorite. I have been a fan of the Peanuts all my life. I enjoy the Great Pumpkin cartoons a lot. My friends and I used to throw Snoopy slumber parties: popcorn, pizza, chocolate chip cookies and of course rootbeer.

Cheers guys I think the converstations about this were on the unedited entry and maybe haven't been moderated yet. I did write it the day after Charles past on. So it was a bit of ancient history in the h2g2 scheme of things.
Glad you enjoy it.

If you like peanuts, I suggest you read Calvin and Hobbes as well.

I have never drunk root beer, roasted marshmallows on a stick over a fire, been to summer camp, listened to Beethoven's 3rd or been a wild-eyed fanatic; but I do love Peanuts.
I started reading it from an early age (about 4 or 5 I think), and always loved it.
One day I will do those things (apart from the fanaticism). I tried heating a marshmallow with a lighter a couple of times just to see what it's like, and they do taste good.

I thought roasted marshmallows tasted pretty revolting - I'd much rather eat as they come out of the packet. But Methos, Linus doesn't ride on the back of his Mums bike as far as I am aware, you're probably thinking of Rerun, Linus' little brother.

drunk root beer once is enough never again
roasted marshmallows on a stick over a fire last time a few weeks ago
never been to summer camp though have been on other camps UK style

and been a wild-eyed fanatic even while playing bowls.
