A Conversation for Space Hoppers

I remember seeing something on TV. Children about eight or ten in full riding gear, helmets and all, bouncing around as though on horses. There were judges, spectators, a breathless announcer. The funniest part, the serious expressions on the kids faces as they competed.
One kid even patted her skittish mount to calm it down.

I must have been in detention that day because I don't recall it although it sounds like something that would have been on one of the kids magazine programmes .... Blue Peter, Magpie ... something like that.

*Val: "And this is one i bounced on eariler...oh dear, it seems to have gone a bit flat. Shep!!John, if you must go abseiling down mountains, please keep that under control & don't kidnap the props.
Now, here's how to make your very own Space hopper for your dolls; all you need is an orange balloon, felt tip pens...."

I can't look at those big yoga balls or whatever they're called at the gym without thinking that they should have handles.

I always suspect they have a laugh on their face too ... maybe it's painted on the inside.
I can almost see Peter and John racing on space hoppers .... if they didn't - they should have.

Now I want one. This chair is most uncomfortable and It would be good for my circulation if I could bounce while waiting for downloads. I should probably also wear a cape and mask in case I bounce into the wall and break my neck. It would give something for the CSI people to figure out.
We need a new action smiley.

Ooooh! A wonderful idea, combining decrepit old hippies like us with Our Roots; marketed as a mobility aid & comfort Fang Shwee thing.
A beanbag with a space hopper inside! Who needs a Zimmer frame when you can along & also fall asleep...forget cycle paths, Hopper Beanbag paths; way to go maaan!
