I've always just used *twiddles thumbs*.
And if you ever chat to me (prob'ly via ICQ), you'll realise that I virtually twiddle my thumbs quite a lot...
Incidentally, you can find a mention of TWAIN in h2g2's official entry on Jargon.
(Is it not written, thou shalt mention thine own Guide Entries at every possible opportunity? *smirk*)

The IT industry is full of TLA, everything has it's special terminology. There's even a programming language Perl, from Pathologically Eclectic Rubbish Lister, this language does exactly what it says on the tin.
Variant on one earlier
ROTFLMAO = Roll on the floor laughing my arse off
Sometimes closely followed by an emoticon (_o_) for an arse.
