A Conversation for The Idiot's Guide to Crossing the Road

Anyone remeber the road rules on the back of school exercise books?

I left primary school in about 1969 but I still remember there was road safety advice on the back of the school exercise books we were given to write in (we called them "jotters" in Scotland). One of these was, "Never follow a ball, hoop or playmate onto the road".

I don't know about other parts of the U.K., but I think hoops went out of fashion as childs playthings long before the swinging sixties!

What's on the back of these books now, I wonder?
