Gavin Orr's introduction

Please do not read this entry

G'day, I've been about h2g2 for a while but until I decided the guide needed an article on Harry Chapin I limited myself to replies to conversations started by others.

If you are a Harry Chapin fan, and like the muppets, there was a lovely version of Six String Orchestra on youtube - but due to copywrite violation, it's gone now. (Sorry if you missed it.)

I also wrote an article on Six Sigma (a process improvement methodology) Six Sigma - Getting It right 99.99966% Of the Time - A16432490, one on the leap second, and one called Rope Around The Earth.

I gave up on the one on magic squares - and it was sent to the flea market.

I've been around a while so I remember h2g2 from the books as well as the T.V. show (I heard some of the radio show, but not on the radio, I bought an LP after reading the first book).

I found the following articles of interest, perhaps because the subjects were known to me before I found h2g2 on the web.

Pentominoes

Bookcrossing

I regularly contribute (if that's the right word) to the conversation

Change a Letter

and am occassionally surprised that I can work out an answer for

Brainteasers

But spend most of my time pushing the infinite improbability drive button until I find something which seems to be worth reading (did you know that Koalas have fingerprints?).

I am Researcher number 3235914 (3*(2-3)+5+((9+1)*4))
