Very interesting read, thanks very much. I didn't know that "Everyone says Hi" is about not being able to let go after the death of a loved one, I'll certainly hear it in a new light, but it will remain one of my favourite Bowie songs.
Bowie also appeared in a film based on the song "Blue Jean", playing two roles- the nerdy boyfriend, and the eponymous rock god who pinches his date! I think it was on release with 'The Company of Wolves' back in the eighties.
Incidentally, Bowie's son, Duncan, is the producer or director of a film called 'Moon'.
