A Conversation for Wildlife Gardening - Natural Slug Control

Protecting plants from slugs and snails.

Post 1

I read about protecting tender leaves of plants from slugs and snails. The article is indeed an excellent one. The article recommends the use of copper strips, which I have found to be very effective. The slugs and snails live in peace and multiply, but are not allowed to destroy young leaves of plants.
The Author recommends use of copper strips that are 2" to 3" thick. I think he is referring to the breadth or width of the copper strips, and not the thickness or guage. Handling copper plates that are 2" or 3" thick is almost impossible. Moreover, the cost will jump. If I am right,I request that the word be suitably changed.

Thanks & regards to the Author.

Thanks for your comments! I'm the author (a girly!) but I don't really understand what you mean about the copper. If you could suggest some wording I'll ask for a change.
