Marv, are the drinking laws in Utah the reason why Los Vegas was established in the first place?

Well I don't think so but there is a border town 130 miles west of SLC that has casinos and liquor stores etc. It exists only for UT sinners

Wendover actually got its start because the cashed-up service men and women from the military bases in Utah (namely Hill AFB and Ogden defence depot) needed a place close enough to use their 24 hour leave passes.
"Bendover" (as it is affectionately referred to by those of us unlucky enough to gamble, drink and other wise blow our hard earned money) is one of the best places for those of us who need to ocassionally escape from behind the Zion curtain.

There is plenty of food and drink at The Celery's and Ms D Webjello's big Virtual Pres campaign event. Links from the h2g2 Post.

I would have to say that while Wendover is indeed the nearest frontier for the debauchery that is so hard to come by in Utah, I prefer Vegas. You get so much more there. More food, more beer, more prostitutes walking the streets... You see Loony, I am not the only one that is trapped here.

Alas as a member of the Clergy it would be inappropriate for me to wear one. I would have to attend in my clerical robes and pointy hat.

Sounds excellent Marv. DD came wearing a kilt, odd socks and sandles.
