I just never found Bean even remotely amusing. it was like a bad Charlie Chaplin film crossed with Mr Magoo, done with a very silly voice, and why the hell did they ever make a film of it?

I think Rowan Atkinson is one of the best comic actors we've got (Glad to see a mention of thin blue line) so why he continues to embarras himself with something that makes Benny Hill look elaborate and intellectual I don't know.

just discovered this site, i'm a massive blackadder fan. My other fave comedies are The Thin blue line and I'm Alan Partridge.

My favourite episodes are :

series 1: The Archbishop
series 2: Beer
series 3: Ink and Incapability
series 4: Goodbyeee

overall best series i reckon is 2 and best episode ever is goodbyeee

I'm not convinced about 2 being best- either that or 4. Hmm.

I just watched every single episode of blackadder yesterday (well, except the specials). Really cheered me up

blackadder is absolute classic comedy. i like the mix of dry humour and outrageously stupid gags, plus the historical context of each series.
