Actually I never went. For some reason the wings failed to sprout.
Yes, indeed, converse we must, and we must swing whilst doing it. How are you phil? How are your things and related matters?
I haven't been doing much out of the ordinary. Working on my sculpture. There will be picture updates today.
um.

Hello oh dotty one. I have been tired as I was working weeding in someone's garden today. Soon I will write fluently and swing like a mad bird.

My email seems to have gone horribly quiet and now you're saying nothing.
What gives, oh little droog?

Well, since you ask, I'll tell you that I went round to all the people that have your e-mail address and made various threats involving relatives and personal secrets and informed them that if they wrote to you I would be forced to make good on those threats. So you see, that's why nobody is emailing you.
As for me, I was waiting for your promised fluency. I should have known better, eh?
What gives? Santa Claus (oh, exuse me, I mean Fahvah Christmas), stock dividends, and really good friends all have been known to give.
How about you? Have you given up on your grandiose dreams of graphic designerhood and resigned yourself to the drudgery of weeding?

I'm sorry, part of my reticence has been caused by the fact that this is no longer my home page and therefore I am not constantly reminded of the need to write on this page. I have also been working on my real website (wow wow wow dot suddendesign dot enn eeee tee) and that has been taking up a lot of my time. You're welcome to take a goosy goosy gander at it but it is still VERY much under construction.
I wish you hadn't stopped people emailing me. It's a sad and lonely place without them.
I'm trying to be a graphic designer and I'm gettng there slowly. Don't hassle me, you sound like my mother! Weeding is something I have lately given up.
That's it for now. Take it or leave it. Do you want to go for a meal next time we're there or you're here? Maybe next weekend or the one after?

I had a look at your website. It's pretty keen. I would suggest, however, that you use 3color gifs for the icons. jpegs are big and get those nasty compression artifacts. Good luck with the thing.
Yes, meal sometime. Good.

3 colour gifs? Won't I lose lots of quality? I must try that. Back to Photoshop.

the trouble with 3 color gifs is you won't be able to do the anti-aliased letters and glow effect you have. splurge and make them 16 colors.

No, I'm sticking with my lovely JPEGs, you'll just have to be patient. Take a look, it's all changed.

Jesus, you're worse than my father! Yes, I have a bit of business but I'm still in the process of producing th page. Give me a minute would you? Anyway, I'm the landed gentry and I don't have to work as I am one of God's chosen people. So there

Being one of God's chosen doesn't mean you don't have to work. I should know, wot wot?
What kind of business have you got, and how did you get it. I'm eternally curious as to how one drums up work as a freelance type.
Got to go now, I have a novel to finish.
A presto,
Gabriel

Word of mouth got me some photographic work and I am doing some voluntary work for magazines in return for advertising space which I hope will whip up some paying work.
What novel?
US citizens
il viaggiatore Posted Oct 31, 2001
The novel is just a project I'm working on off and on.
What magazines?
US citizens
Phil Rose esq Posted Nov 1, 2001
Just local magazines. One called 'What's up?' which is a rock mag and the cober of a university rag. That's all really.

Much silence. Are we abandoning speech due to interruption by Mikey? I hope not. I've been working hard on my site. And I bought a big photographic flash light to woo the commuunity. What have you been up to?

il viaggiatore Posted Nov 20, 2001
Oh dear, I entirely missed your last three posts! I'm fine and entirely capable of conducting a conversation in Mikey's absence. I'm currently running on "reduced intercourse" mode, due to the onset of Ramadan. I'll go take a look at your site now. I have added pictures to mine, have you seen?
What else is new with you?
