Im a Plymouth girl born and bred. i live just outside the village of Eggbuckland and we are so very lucky with the beautiful scenery, we are surounded by nature reserves and I suppose we are on the outskirts of Plymouth and the wildlife out here is amazing. Plymouth city centre is just a couple of miles in but you would think you were on a different planet here
The parking is just as bad but the bus service is good(have to say that as hubby isdriver)
Ssshhhh lets not go into the prawn thing an embarrasment(under statement of the year)
But we have the National Marine Aquarium which more than compensates for the Prawn thing
Plus the Lido has been refurbished and lets hope the next generation enjoys it as much as mine did with the old one
The Hoe is a nice place to meet up with friends then wander down to the Barbican for a few drinks and maybe a supper of fish and chips on a warm summers eve ahhh you cant beat it
we are certainly blessed in Plymouth
kind regards Liz

Just like to say what a wonderful city Plymouth is, it has everything whether you want great countryside, sea, city everything is there or within ver easy reach.
I have loved Plymouth ever since I was sent to relief manage The Star in Union Street for fifteen months some time ago. I am sure some people remember it, what an experience!
I would love to live permanantly in Plymouth some day, but until then I have to be satisfied with visits. I shall be coming down April/May for the first time in two years and I am searching for a pub with accommodation in the Barbican area, can anyone help please?
