Plymouth

My home town. If you have lived there you either love it or hate it. To some it is the parochial dogs end of civilization and to others a great place to live.
I moved away for many years and after some stays there am still away and yet miss it.
Plymouth is a port and a barracks. The mix of squadies and matlots can at times bring a little colour to the streets. Mostly red but it is alive. The Barbican (nowadays a little too sanitized) is a wonderful place.
When I do visit it is very much a feeling of going home. It has just about everything except a decent civic centre building. The existing one is a pinnacle of shame. Appalling design and falling down, quite literally.
Wake up Plymouth. This building is in the center of the city, seen by all comers and is an embarrassment.
