A Conversation for An Introduction to The Beatles
Beatles Films and Books

The Beatles story is not complete without a mention of "A Hard Days Night" "Help" "Magical Mystery Tour" "Yellow Submarine" or "Let it Be" the 4 films that the Beatles made plus the cartoon Beatles of "Yellow Submarine". The "Help" soundtrack album is one of the 2 lead up albums to the psychedelic era of "Revolver" and "Sgt Peppers". It is a much loved album in my collection with songs like: "I've just seen a face" "You've got to hide your love away" and Ringos' token appearance with Buck Owens "Act Naturally".
Of the books about the Beatles, Michael Brauns "Love me Do" published by Penguin, if you can get it is a documentary detailing a tour of France and also covering the first tour of America. Hunter Davis "The Beatles", may be considered a little sugary these days when readers only appear to want to read the scandals of the High and Mighty of the world of celebrity. The Beatles is a nice easy read for the beach or any where else on holiday quiet moments.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
