A Conversation for Beach Cricket

Cricket Rules

This article serves to confirm my suspicion that the Rules of Cricket are in a state of perpetual flux. The few cricket matches I have watched seem to have rules that evolve as the game does. Beach Cricket seems to do the same--only more so.

Does this relate to Chaos Theory in any way?

Chaos theory is relatively calm compared to beach cricket - especially when the eski/bottle cooler being used as the wickets contains Dad's beer and all the ice, cold water, has drained out and his beer is all-shook-up and warm just when he feels like a nice cold one... the air becomes blue... children scatter... wifes cry smiley - bigeyes

If you ask me, there's an even stronger correlation between Chaos Theory and the England cricket team's attempts to play the game. smiley - sadface
Meanwhile, during the recent festive season Sky Sports (that nice Mr Murdoch's UK sports TV channel) has devoted hours of airtime to beach soccer. This was probably partly due to the shortage of serious sport over the past fortnight - but could beach cricket be next for the television treatment? smiley - bigeyes

Suggest it to them. Who knows England might turn out to be good at it - for a little while
