Hi, My name is Stephen Ryan (UK) and I am glad to say that I invented the concept of a "blog or weblog" in 1997 with a company called Dotcom Internet. The first blog was called Webdesk and provided a free blogging service to over 10,000 subscribers up to 2001. This product was complimented by an array of online website builder tools for schools and businesses.
So there you have it, a little known UK company called Dotcom Internet invented the first "blog". Not the U.S, as is thought to have been the case.

Hi, good to meet you. I started blogging a mere two weeks ago shortly after starting homeschooling my daughter. It's fun and it's useful. I get ideas from other home educators and I hope some of my experiences will be of use to others.
