Hmm - I somehow didn't think someone else would be making up rhymes at this time of night.
Sorry - please take up whichever first line takes your fancy, whoever comes next. Then the other one can save the next finisher the bother of thinking up a new first line.

(good idea - we'll finish this one and then move on. Someone ought to collect the best complete limericks from this thread and create an entry of them. I might, just for the the fun of reading it all again. 11,000 single lines would be 2,200 limericks, but there may be more, as people often posted two or three lines.)
