Very nice entry Matt! I haven't been to the castle for years, I should really go back. Anyway, as you may have noticed, somewhere on the front page today (your skin may vary there is an entry on catapults that you could link to when you mention trebuchets.

My!That brought back some memories!Visited the castle with my 12yr old daughter in 1984,and we climbed the tower.What an experience,we both enjoyed it so much.Was visiting my half-sister in Wootten Wawen,also a very historical place.Thanks for the memories!

Wootten Wawen is close to me, it's a nice little village. The church is the oldest in Warwickshire.

Yes!Know it well.Beautiful part of the country.Went to school in Stratford during the war(2nd!)for 12 months,didn't like Shakespear for a long time!Cheers.

Hi!Pleased to meet you!You have probably guessed that I now reside in Australia,for the last 47yrs,so I am nearly a native!!Been back "home" a few times to visit my mother,who,sadly is no longer with us,also my half-sister,who is still very much with us!!Would love to make another trip but it is such a long way,tho' I love flying.Hope to hear from you again.
