"Like in one of the other threads I have my doubts at calling this 'invention'. But not unlike the windup radio from some years back the idea is great.
Has there been a factory found interested in mass production of this kind of 'refridgerator'? I think that would be the only step to be of real assistance for the 'farmer and his useless ringtones'."

The Professor has set up a factory to manufacture and distribute these things, so yes. But I suppose if you have two stoneware pots and some sand, then you can do it yourself.

"I have been using 'this' technique for years to cool drinks on sunny days. Put the bottles in a bucket filled with water i a shady place, wetten your towel and make it hanging oveer the rim. The water is soaked out by the towel and cools the water some extra degrees.
I never managed using water to get the temperature drop more then ten degrees. So the ice will have to be made using alcohol.

For best results use boiled water, it actually cools faster than the unboiled stuff. The towel should be in contact with the water in the bucket so as to remain permanently wet/damp (just at that threshold if you know what I mean) and the rest (of the towel) should be tightly wrapped around the bucket. A stainless steel bucket would work great I think, like the champagne buckets used in restaurants. If you use pottery, it should be as porous as possible. Best of Luck!
