I watched the film knowing very little about the premise or storyline.
However I had heard that there was a lot of sex scenes and when watching it I found that by the end of the film I thought it was just beginning. Instead it ended and I was left thinking, now that we've got a good story to start, it's over already! I was waiting for the storyline to unfold and it did so in the last few minutes.
The main question it tries to leave you asking is whether or not the secret society that Tom's character briefly gets caught up in is real and the woman was murdered by them for helping him out or whether it really was just a secret club, with strict rules and an air of superiority over non members because of links to organised crime and a history. The only problem with that is that by the end of the film you've already decided what you believe is going on and it isn't thought provoking any more.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
