it's roughly two-and-a-half weeks from spring training, and the beginning of april major league baseball will start its' 2004 season amidst rumors of steroid abuse by players and multi-million dollar contracts for the players.
still, it's a game played by kids, with a stick and a supply of rocks, or two kids with a bat, a ball and a glove.
teevee money has transformed a simple kids' game, adapted from cricket and rounders, into an international game.
