I >love< Alice in wonderland, but Thru the looking glass is a truly wonderful book, it's just so much fun. I'm actually in the middle of having an Alice tattoo, based on one of the pics linked from the charles dobson home page.

Alice and her adventures are just perenially (try spelling that when you're as pished as I am) popular and are constanly on tv, video and theatre, because enojys them. The jabberwocky poem was made into a film, even.
