A Conversation for Alice in Wonderland - the Literary Character
Through the Needle's Eye

If you can't get enough Alice, I really have to recommend "Alice Through the Needle's Eye" by Gilbert Adair. It's a sequel to the two Alice books, written and illustrated in the same style. Beautifully put together, you could easily be fooled into thinking that it was written by Carroll himself. It really was like reading a new Alice book, 15 years after I first read the other two.
Adair first came to my attention becuase he translated Georges Perec's 'e'-less novel "La Disparation" from French to English (as "A Void"), and still avoided using any 'e's. I thought that anybody that ingenious deserved more investigation. His novels are well worth reading too, particularly the rollicking "The Key of the Tower".
