There's a fab flower market in Nice, and the Matisse museum is pretty interesting. Apart from that it's all pretty expensive and crowded.
If you *don't* have tons of cash, wear a gold belt and drag a poodle around on a lead, there are much cheaper places to eat and enjoy the beach on the outskirts of Cannes. Top quality moules et frites and a caraffe of wine are to be had in La Bocca for a fiver.
