A Conversation for Trust
Trust in relationships
Adz Started conversation Oct 11, 1999
Its got to be the most important part in a relationship too. Like the trusting fellow on the trapeze, a relationship isn't going to work if the person who is about to catch you is that two-timing bastard whose attention has probably been averted to that rather attractive member of the opposite sex in the audience.
Thank goodness for the safety net of not-opening-ourselves-up-completely-till we trust someone.
Trust -is- our safety net, as long as we all use the good judgement that humans are famous for when entering relationships.
Who's catching you?

Very true. I fell prey to confusing trust with faith in someone

I don't think humans are actually famous for their good judgement. I guarantee you can look out any window and find five examples that support that statement. And as for relationships, visit any bar at about 11:30 and ask who has good judgement in relationships.

Facetious. As in, possessing large amounts of face. A variation is fecesshus, possessing lots of feces.
Actually, sarcastic, but you already knew that. Cliche? Me? Where?

Don't worry about replying to an old post - there are lots of old threads that keep reviving - it will appear on the researchers' conversation list and who knows ... you might resuscitate the whole conversation

Ahhhhhhhh, I see. Coolness. Definitely runs counter to my previous experiences with message boards, which would be a good thing.
