A glass of Guinness? Whassat? Who dares selling half-pints of Guinness? Lucky the Inquisition does not exist anymore nowadays, because this is just short of heresy...
So anyway, does anybody know what 'deoc an fuinneam' means? I conjecture it is Gaelic for 'for strength' but have no evidence.

It's old Irish. There should be dots called 'poncanna' over the 'c' in 'deoc' and 'm' in 'fuinneam', which stand for 'h's, so it should now say 'deoch an fuinneamh', which literally translates as 'the drink of energy'.
Don't know if that says more about my Irish or my prodigious student drinking habit...
