A Conversation for How To Order Wine
"Tasting" wine
A Super Furry Animal Started conversation May 7, 2008
If the wine has a plastic stopper or a screw cap, as is becoming more common these days, there's no point in tasting it. "Corked" wine only happens when the bottle is sealed with a cork.
In fact, it's not even necessary to taste the wine...swirl it around in the glass, stick your nose in the glass and then take one giant sniff. That'll tell you all you need to know.
