Can I just add that I'd prefer Perth over NYC any day of the week? Thanks. Talking of New York I can also assure most people that the Swan River is cleaner than the East River, not that I took a sample for chemical analysis but ... Once you are in Perth you might like to go south in you fancy a more European climate or further north if you're looking for a bit of sun. There is a reason that sun-screen only comes in 25 + up there...
