I made mention of this in Feedback: Editorial 5 days ago and have gotten no response.
There is a medical plural error. The word urticaria is singular.
The second instance of the word urticaria is used with the verb are. If the author is referring to many kinds of urticarias ('kinds' usually is meant to be 'having different causes' as urticarias pretty much look all the same) , then urticaria needs to be pluralized as "urticarias" (no one seems to use urticariae, even though it is 'technically' correct Latin). If the author is desribing urticaria in general, then the verb should be "is" instead of "are".

urticaria is not flat - the lesions are wheals surrounded by an erythematous halo
macules are flat coloured lesions
papules are raised lesions (but not fluid filled - that is a blister if small, bulla if larger)

The italic Jimster put a icon after my duplicate posting in Feedback Editorial, but no change has resulted. I don't know what this might mean, perhaps I am wrong and noone's telling me.
Perhaps if you added your information something may result, leo.
