I don't like to see them suffer in the heat but it's the best tour for years for excitement. I wouldn't rule out Cadel Evans as an outside chance but obviously the Spanish riders are favoured by the weather. Yes, Klöden too - he looks very strong and has a good support group around him. It's all to play for today - not already cut and dried as in the Armstrong years.
I think I'll put some road tyres on my mountain bike.

All the commentators have been saying this is the most open tour for years, I'm going to be glued to the TV all afternoon

What a fantastic ride that was by Landis. Question is - has he enough in the tank for Saturday's time trial?
The riders might have to make a real race of it into Paris at the end of this Tour unlike the usual easy ride in.

It was rather hot out there today. Hope it's a bit cooler tomorrow for Landis and a few of the other Nordic types.

Absolutly, I was hooked right up to the Time Trial, look out for a Uni project from me about the different jersey winners in the TdF, there's Floyd Landis, Richard Virenque, Marco Pantani, Robbie McEwen and Eddy Merckx

Landis' parents didn't like it when he began biking, heavy on work & religion family, so he had to sneak out at night to do some training. That's what I read in one newspaper anyway.

Anything that cleans up the sport must be a good thing. I don't remember any positive dope tests at the world cup although many teams had 11 playing (dopes that is!).
