My Uncle used to play for Bedford in the late '40's but had to quit after having both knee caps removed due to injury, while his brother rowed for Bedford Rowing Club.
Although I was born there I don't know it well. My Mum was also born there.

Really? Who was your Uncle? I'm glad you like the entry, it was my first, so probably not my best. Sadly, down here in Eastbourne I can't get to home games anymore, but, god bless the internet, I can still keep up with the scores.

Robert Johnstone, and I believe his brother, Tony, also played. However Robert was always known as John, for some reason. Not sure of the dates though... One of my mates in my local was also a supporter, even though he is Scottish. Small
