A Conversation for Ocarinas

I can't say I really like ocarinas. They're quite interesting but I was totally put off them by having to sit through a long and boring piece for percussion, guitar and ocarina. The ocarina really didn't suit everything else and the piece was very slow moving. It lasted about ten years.

...which is why the ocarina is best for soloists. Solo ocarina music, on the other hand, can be very beautiful when done right, proving that the ocarina is hardly the most balanced of instruments, probably best employed as an easy introduction to playing woodwinds. They are fun just to fart around with, though....
