A young friend of mine bought a half dead chicken for 50 earth pence at a fair. 2 years later however, it is still alive however and lays bizarre green eggs which undoubtedly make the best scrambled eggs in the galaxy!

Eight years later... 
They're called Araucana chickens - we used to have some, too. Slightly smaller than regular hens, but they always lay green and blue eggs
