I made vegetable stew with dumplings for the third time this winter this evening. I've started add a knorr stock pot (vegetable) as well as two vegetable oxo cubes, really adds to the flavour.
Last time we had some left over for soup the next day. A couple of months ago I bought one of those hand-blenders that almost everyone on Come Dine With Me uses, only a fiver from Tesco; thought I try that out on the soup it tasted okay, but both my partner and I thought the texture was like baby food, don't think I'll be doing that again.

We tried, but only remembered we'd put it on after the lovely aroma of burned food wafted up the stairs... oops.
So, do you like those stock pot things? I rather like them, but Mr Vip sticks to stock cubes as he knows where he is with them.

so you had take-away that night.
Yeah, I like them, I think the stock pot add that little something to it. Once they dissolve the stock pot changes the colour of the water more than just the oxo cubes do. I use two vegetable oxo cubes as well.

We'd already eaten; we've only just finished scrubbing the pot! Off to Morrison's now for back-up food for the week...!
