h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'm assuming that everyone who really, really wanted one has an account already. But, if there is anyone looking for a more functional alternative to Hotmail, but still web-based and free, drop me a line here.

I think I've got an account with everybody that offers free e-mail! Actually, I think Yahoo has the best deal so far, and their system's pretty easy to use.

I tried Yahoo! briefly, and had way more problems with it (loss of service, loss of email, etc) that it just wasn't worth it for me. They may well gotten better since then, but I just don't think I could trust them.

I just signed up with them this year, and I've had pretty good luck so far When Mail.com started putting adverts between every single window (click to read the mail, click past the advert, read the mail, click to the next mail, read the advert, read the mail, etc.) I switched over.

Come to think of it, Gmail is Google, isn't it? I'll probably keep my business e-mail with Yahoo, but I wouldn't mind switching the family e-mail account over to Google - what's the storage limit?

Yup, it's with Google. Storage limit is 1 gig.

Wow... well, yes, I'd love to have an account with Google. Sign me up!

I have a problem with more than one email account. My life is crazy enough with one, yet youse guys have many? I wouldn't know what to do with more than one anyway... have phony, disguised places to send email?

I just deal with one, my ISP which is broadband, Comcast, and it has more space than I will ever use. I will not advertise for them however, they do that enough anyway.

Yup, I have quite a few email accounts. I have one that I use only for work. I have one that I use when I prefer to be anonymous. I have one that I use whenever I need to sign up for something, to keep my real accounts from being flooded with spam. I have one that I only use with close friends.

I have several e-mail accounts just because of the cache limitation. If I have to send something to myself, I can send parts of it to two or three accounts. And yeah, sometimes it's handy to have an account to use so I won't be flooded with spam (nothing worse than being up to the eyeballs in spam!) Now, if I can just figure out how to block all the horrible penile enlargement spam, I'll be happy!

Well, I now have a handful more of invites if anyone else needs one.
