My Godparents's daughter (Godsister?) had her baby last night. A week overdue and 2 days in labour! Calling her Loren Elizabeth.

Awwww! Jeez, 2 days in labour, that can't have been fun!!
Loren is a nice name! Fred is having a middle name but my sister wants to use Fiona, after best Auntie, of course. I'm not convinced.
Isla Fiona, Isle of Iona........sounds a bit similar to me!

You're right, Isla Fred has a much better ring to it!
Loren is a nice name. If I ever have kids they will be called Sarah (after my Nanny) for a girl, and Henry (but called Harry like my Dad) for a boy. No arguments!

And your wife/girlfriend/signifcant other is getting no say in this at all?
I used to go out with a guy who swore blind he was gonna call his daughters Chardonnay Rose (this was pre Footballers Wives) and Jannelise! That was a no argument situation as well. I said goodbye a short time after fingding that one out!!!

I like Noah! And if you look at Teri's post a few back, so does she!
Must admit, i hate trendy names and wouldn't want anything that was on the top 10 list of names. I was one of 11 with my name in my primary school and there were only 45 pupils in the whole place!

I like proper names so called my son Joshua (9 years ago), I have a nephew called Caden..really don't like that!
As for the no argument thing..hmm what makes a guy think he has the right to impose something like that after it's us who go through 40 weeks of hell and 'then' between 15 and 72 hours of the worst pain known to man? Sorry but i'd chop your bollocks off

"chop your bollocks off"
I see your not be messed with Serephina! OK, I'll let my future wife/GF choose the middle names. Can't say fairer than that!

After that amount of pain any woman would feel the same believe me.. we choose the names..you get to agree. Anyway we can register them for a birth certificate without you or your consent..you can't

Serephina Posted Sep 23, 2005
Like that was likely anyway..Ged would chop your bollocks off in that case
In any case..you really will need to rethink your views you know if you ever expect to have kids with anyone for starters women have 'all' the power in a relationship..we just let you think you have a say..
