Today we got our first ever BNP election leaflet through the door. Last time round we had the first posters in our area. But I can hardly believe that Nazi scum have actually walked down the street and stuck this filth through *my* letterbox.
My daughter showed it to me when I got in. She's been finishing off a school project about Hitler. She noticed that their proud statements were pretty much identical to a quote she'd used from Mein Kampf.
I wish I'd seen the who put it through. My wife's rather glad I didn't.
And you know what? They're going to get a few MEPs, aren't they? What with PR and the inevitable low turnout for the other parties.

Ah. Seems I may have just broken the BBC'[s pre-election rules. I may have to remove the words 'Nazi' and 'Scum'. Since this won't be sorted before the end of a weakend, I'll try a more restrained re-post.
Weekend s:
Did you *really* want to remobe that?

I don't have the scum's leaflet to hand...but here's the quote from their spiritual leader:
"I am only in favour of equality for those of German blood. Jews and other aliens should lose their rights of citizenship and immigration of non-Germans should be brought to an end."
I realise now, though, that probably they didn't walk down the street. Because they're standing in every constituency, Royal Mail will have had to deliver their propaganda. I seem to recall that the UCW used to boycott their material but got in trouble for it.

We got the unmentionables and the other lot's leaflet's through our door this morning.
I estimate it took me about 10.5 seconds to reach the shredder, switch it on, and complete the diremption.

We've a new party in Ireland called "Libertas". They're in favour of a "New Europe". In particular, a Europe where people from the Eastern side won't be able to come over and take our jobs.

Well, yes - obviously these things should be binned. But another good idea is to put a poster in your window to remind the world of the appropropriate attitude. People can be reticent about speaking out, and seeing this kind of thing reminds us that we're not alone:

For all its faults...it can be worth remembering why the EU is important, why it was established in the first place.

Irish politics is pretty sick right now, and the UK is not faring so well by the looks of it.
Can the EU take over now please?

I got the unmentionable through the post yesterday (felt quite sorry for the postie actually), and as they've clearly realised I is a foreign, we helpfully got two.
The were shredded instantly by moi - would have considered using them for lining the cat litter, but we don't have a cat and I wanted it out of the house. Made me really quite
