Hello himura
I think you'll find a wide selection of tastes here
At any given time you can find my 5 most recent musical aquisitions, and my page of Top Tens (A1102294) has some of my favourites on it.
Mostly I listen to adult contemporary - Dave Matthews, Maroon 5, Norah Jones...
But I like standards, too - Bobby Darin, Dean Martin, Louis Prima...
Of course, I grew up on 80s hair bands, can't give up on them now - Def Leppard, Poison, Slaughter...
And the *real* stuff - Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Journey...
The old stuff - the Beatles, Van Morrison...
Even some of the new stuff - Staind, Hoobastank, Jet...
There's always something music-related going on somewhere on site, you might find this conversation interesting - for an idea of what your fellow Researchers are *really* listening to:
F19585?thread=101117&latest=1 (reading the backlog is *not* necessary).
So what do you like to listen to?

There has to be an old Guy in the ring I guess, but you did invite me.
Don't have favourite groups or composers, I like what I like whoever does it.
I have a Vintage Malerne Tenor Sax which I try to play, it sounds great, I sound crap. I like soulful Sax music played with feeling (Kenny G. is even more crappy than me, he tries to play it like a Piano). Fav. Sax pieces are the backing on 'Will you' by Hazel O'Connor and the wound up sax on Baker Street (Rafferty).
Can't do with a lot of modern stuff, OK, I don't understand it I know but if it's what the young people want, who am I ?.
Dont mind a bit of noise - like Van Halen, some Queen, Dire Straits, Pulp, even Blackbox, mostly late 70's to 2000 stuff.
At my age I should be into Musicals, Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, etc,etc but sorry, no thanks.
Thought the Beatles were a complete waste of space.
Elvis ballads ok, rock - no thanks.
Classics & Opera, yes if it has a 'presence', some twerp playing up and down a Piano may be musically very clever but it's about as entertaining as watching weeds grow.
Ok, I'll get back in my cupboard now, thanks for your time.
Quack.

Hey pdante`, Hope I didn't offend you, what did I say?.
Don't care for modern - don't understand it, that's fair isn't it, no critism.
Only thing I slagged off was Kenny G, and he deserves it.
